It seems that most people leave a random instance group when they feel that they are the ones doing right and everyone else is fail.

Hard to believe, I’ve been in the game for 2+ years now and only have 1 max level character.
That’s about to change.
I’ve had a blood elf pally that I’ve strung along for quite some time. He’s my scribe so I periodically get in a tizzy to level him up to unlock the next level of inscription. The method of leveling choice is invariably instance runs while someone else is farming for something. As a result, I have no freaking clue how to play him and get very frustrated. Continue reading
Yesterday I posted some of the published PTR notes.
More stuff came out almost immediately after, I <3 MMO Champion.
Here’s the things that caught my eyes:
1 – Gnomes take back Gnomeregan!
Does this mean that the instance will be removed? That would make the achievement for having run it a feat of strength. Or will it be a Caverns of Time sort of thing? Or maybe the related troll event is to capture Gnomeregan as well. We will steal it! And then destroy it because it’s way too cramped for anyone of a decent size to be walking around in.

Some amazing stuff in there.
And one little thing that has me twisted off.
Incanter’s Absorption: This talent now only grants additional spell power when damage is absorbed by Mana Shield, Frost Ward, Fire Ward, or Ice Barrier. The limit of 5% of the mage’s health on the spell power buff has been removed.
If you weren’t aware, this also used to proc off the absorbs from a priest’s PW: Shield. Or I should say, as of today it still does but as of patch 3.3.3 it will not. Continue reading
So it’s raid night and the raid leader’s work computer has blown up and she can’t make the raid.
She logs in and informs the officers that someone needs to step up and put together a raid.
Responses vary in officer chat from basically, “I only want to do ICC” to “*chirp**chirp*.”
15 people accepted, but not enough from either of the 10 man groups from Tuesday to salvage either ICC run.
It’s really too bad you can’t somehow mix and match raid IDs, you know, just don’t let anybody do the same boss more than once.
Out of 15 people, I’m sure you can manage to find 10 that are not saved to the same thing.
I don’t care who does it, but someone needs to put together a raid.

The Love is in the Air event is almost over, and I find myself in an odd spot with it.
Arioch completed the event last year, the only thing he had to worry about this year was the new boss in SFK. He even got the pet, the Toxic Wasteling. Cute little bugger, it’s a green slime that leaps onto and consumes critters. And it does it very often, not like standing around waiting for Lil’ KT to frostbolt something.
There’s a mount drop with a 1-2% chance… and normally I am all about getting the mounts… and I do want that mount… but there doesn’t seem to be the giddy rush of wanting to go in every day to try for it like there was with the Brewfest mounts. Continue reading

As promised, a discussion of the guild activities from the other week.
My original guild had been running with Shadow Rising for a few months when we were offered the invitation to merge.
Shortly after the merge, several people left. It was referenced once that those who left didn’t like the fact that new people were being brought in. This may or may not be true, it was said in passing.
Fast forward several more months.
SR is now a ranked guild for 10-man ICC progression. From the looks of our competition, we’re the top guild that is ranked for 10-man ICC that is not doing 25-man ICC. That means that the guilds above us are clearing 10-man with their 25-man gear.

The tank appears to know the fights, just has no clue where to go to get to them.
