“Wow. Look at all the dust.”

*sneeze*

And so it is not with a roar or a shout or a battle cry that I return, but with a sneeze. Maybe even a sniffle.

Work is… weird. It’s a lot of “hurry up and wait.” And wait. And more wait. Very stressful waiting.

Personal life has blown up, calmed down, blown up, calmed down, etc. And the lives of my friends and family. That damn real life thing has been a roller coaster for the past couple of months.

I am in the process of recovering from a nasty whopper of a case of strep throat paired with an ear infection and most likely a sinus infection.

Why is it that health care professionals always seem so freaking happy to diagnose me with strep?

“And the test result?”

“VERY positive for strep!” Said with a HUGE shit-eating grin.

I know they don’t get paid more based on that diagnosis, so it has to be some perverse personal joy that they all seem to share.

Once, I had a doctor call in every intern in the building to look at my “beautiful, text-book case” of strep.

Of course, there’s something to be said about your throat looking bad enough that they proscribe Vicodin for the pain. At one point I was also weighing the disadvantages of risking permanent hearing loss in my left ear against the possibility of removing the pain by jamming an ice pick through the ear drum. Not really a fun conversation to have with yourself at 3 AM.

Pain is now gone but I still can’t breathe normally.

My WoW time has tapered off a bit, but I have been trying to remain reasonably active.

I’ve really fallen behind on dailies and whatnot, but I’m still raiding a couple times a week (except the week of the 4th, we took that one off).

I don’t know that I’ll be back to my previous posting schedule of Monday through Friday, but I think life has calmed down enough for me to risk sticking my head out into the blogosphere again. I’ll shoot for a couple posts a week and we’ll see how that goes. There’s a crap ton of really cool stuff going on and I’m starting to feel the need to babble about it.

Besides, I missed you guys. <3
