Looking at what Riot has done to foster a welcoming environment that is supported by the community itself, it’s all very impressive and it shows. I had an encounter (which I’ll probably blog about) and the opposing team told my teammate to shut up. For as brief as the interactions are, the community really does have some feeling of togetherness.

You will always seem to find people who aren’t patient enough to deal with new players. In my experience, I just encountered less assholes on LoL, when I started playing, and more players willing to help me learn to play (rather than just yell at me and call me noob).
