When last we saw our hero

he was wooing a member of the opposite faction.

For the past couple weeks I haven’t had a chance to talk about what Arioch has been up to what with all the thoughts on raiding, RP, pr0n art, patch notes, and everything else that amused me.

So here’s what’s happened in the past month with Arioch:

Raiding

The Citadel is on farm status. We’re at the point where we can bring in 3-4 lesser-experienced people and get them going on learning the early fights, earning reputation, and picking up badges.

Festergut and Rotface are practically on farm. When we have new people there is generally 1-2 wipes on Rotface as they acclimate themselves to the “OMG THIS IS CHAOS” of slime herding. Then we chuckle because Rotface is nothing compared to the Princes.

Putricide is a bitch. Our first night in there, drop him in 5 attempts. That was before they increased and then removed the attempt limitations and well before the pity buff went into effect. (I may be using it, but it doesn’t mean that I have to like it.) We have not successfully dropped him again since. Very close, but we have not been able to recreate whatever magic we brought the first night.

Blood Princes are FINALLY down. I don’t think we wiped as often to them as Rotface, but they were possibly more frustrating. We went with a 3-tank strat, which turned out to be what saved us when one of the tanks disconnected close to the end. We asked that people removed some of the extraneous warnings in DBM to help them focus on the really important stuff and it seemed to help. This fight really requires that everyone be watching where they are going. If one person runs into the wrong place at the wrong time it will easily wipe the raid.

Blood Queen is DOWN. I have a macro all ready to go for when we downed her and I was dead. /sadpanda

Valithria Dreamwalker… I don’t even want to talk about it. Looking at parses for other guilds, their healing throughputs are through the roof and we can’t seem to replicate that. I’m not a healer so I don’t really know where to start to even diagnose our problem.

So we’re now 9/12 on ICC 10 with the next one being a total crap shoot until I can figure out what is wrong.

Other Raids

Tir has been leading hard mode Ulduar raids on the weekends and we now have 3 disks in the guild, almost completed the quest to be able to unlock Algalon. We’re missing a few hardmodes here and there across the guild, but pretty soon we’ll have at least 10-12 people with drakes.

He also led a couple different Trial of the Crusader runs. We’re 5/5 on 25 normal and 4/5 for Trial of the Grand Crusader 10. Unfortunately it got late and we lost people after only 1-2 attempts on Anub.

Looking forward to the remaining hardmodes left, Firefighter looks downright terrifying.

I get no respect from my guild mates.

Kittens! All of you!

Dancing pictures are popular on some other blogs, we’ll try that here.

And people wonder why I hate running CoS.

My luxurious foxtail is replaced by a gray, receding hairline. Even my night elf DK ends up bald. WTF?

A reason to join Shadow Rising:

My husband denies that I sound like Aliena, you’ll have to judge for yourself.

Yes, we are recruiting.

Almost done with Oculus.

I really don’t mind the instance but I’ve only gotten it once as a random on Arioch since they added the extra goodies.

The boats in Darnassus were much nicer, but I didn’t think I could talk my husband into running out there for a picture.

Don’t tell Tatia!

RAWR

i r scary

Went through a dry spell of achievement whoring and then picked it back up.

At least the NPCs give me some respect.

And then I go stand next to Tirion. I may be a force to be reckoned with, but apparently I’m short.

Making the heroes be of heroic proportions is all well and good, but twice my height? Seriously?

Yes, I got my windrider cub. SQUEEEEEE!!!!

This is not a forced perspective shot, this is fun with baby spice and pet biscuits.

More fun in Ulduar.

I’m always on the gauntlet team for Thorim. Some day I would like to be in the arena just to see what it’s all about.

I have been collecting my frost badges and I blew a chunk of gold on primordial saronite.

So I now have PANTS!!!

Leggings of Woven Death are sexy. /flex

Up to 3-piece T10.

Shoulders, helm, and chest.

Had the Sandals of Consecration made and then realized if I equipped them I would have to regem everything for hit.

Ewww.

Hoping for gloves to drop of Toravon. If not, that will be my next frost purchase. With the gloves, I’ll balance out the hit issue and can equip the new boots.

That just about sums up what Arioch’s been up to.

My poor priest isn’t getting a lot of love right now, but it’s hard to get that group organized to get stuff run.

Now it’s time to officially introduce my death knight!

I’m not sure what part.. but I started reading this post, and suddenly a long rant about why I don’t raid popped into my head ._. I don’t know how, your raids sound lovely! Also, I’d kill for a Windrider Cub – so cute! :D

..he was playing “Hide the Sausage” with a Night Elf Druid. Now we see how much he truly likes pointy ears as he does the same with a Blood Elf Rogue. Is Arioch a man-whore much?
