Raiding is awkward at the moment.
I WAS going to be raiding 6 days this week…
But the issue I mentioned yesterday, well, I’m sort of involved. And I’m not really sure if my presence would be a good thing or not… so I’m going with the assumption that I should let things simmer down before showing up again.
That cleared out a couple days of raiding.
And I just started getting this melee shit figured out.
Except I have just been informed that gemming for strength is soooooo last patch. This season it’s ALL about armor penetration. /sigh

The Glory of the Ulduar Raider run got moved to a different night and that turns out to be the night I’m having dinner with the in-laws.
Last night was supposed to be 10-man raiding… and I had 16 people.
AWKWARD.
So I put together a 10-man raid and sent them off into ICC.
It was a pretty eclectic group, but I wanted to get some of the newer people in and mix it up so more people have shots at badges, learning fights and getting kills.
I am very pleased to say that they cleared up to Professor and got VDW down.
Now I may have to put together a new raid on Sunday so they can continue.
If I only had 4 more consistent raiders…
Dark/Soth has made a return to fire and then logged out before I could get word from him on how he liked it… I expect a response today of either “meh” or “zomg I want to have its babies, burning babies of fire.”

In response to me not knowing what is happening with my nelf DK, I am now focusing on my belf DK.
Tir wants me to delete him and just transfer the nelf over and do the whole faction switcheroo, but I can’t bring myself to do it. Inítrí has a full-fledged personality of his own, it would amount to pixelated murder.
My belf DK originally had skinning and mining as professions. I don’t really need the skinning as I have no leatherworker to support so I’m switching it to herbalism, as I do have a scribe to support.
And it would be going swimmingly well, except there is an issue.
The issue is that I am a moron.
Two nights in a row now, I have gone out to level herbalism.
Two nights in a row, I have spewed venom in vent about the absurdity of how long it’s taking to get points.
Two nights in a row, I have discovered that I have maxed out herbalism and that’s why I’m not getting points.
/facepalm
As soon as I hit Outland-level for herbing, I’ll be on my way.
Sent myself the heirloom stuff.
UGLY.

This is news to me. As far as I was aware the value of ArPen increases as gear increases, and at lower levels of gear it’s not really worth it. I’ve been wrong before though.
However, I went to that dude’s blog and he said some really suspect things, so you might wanna double check that with Tyr. He’d know.

Yeah I talked to her about it. It really isn’t worth it to go full arpen until full t10, as it is not possible to arpen cap from t9 content gear. Now, in full ICC 10/25 dps gear, it most certainly is.

ToT & KM are 100% mechanics, not increased rate mechanics. 3/3 ToT will cause your offhand to hit. A KM proc will cause your next frost strike to crit. Unless he was throwing Icy Touch or HB in before using Frost Strike, in which case it was a PICNIC.

yes it does….it has caused my sides to ache many a time. So much so it seems like i might have appendicitis, or something of that nature.

Hum. Don’t think you did yourself a favor when you dismissed skinning.
Passive enhanced crit is useful all the time. Mid-cooldown-selfhealing-ability isn’t.

Having a max-level toon that can farm herbs – priceless.
If I ever get my paladin up to 80, he is also an herbalist. Then I can drop herbalism on the DK and pick skinning back up for the crit.
Of course, by that time, Cataclysm will have fixed it.

LFG-Tool crashed my economy. Low/no waiting times as tank/healer just cuts you off from the market. I have to dedicate some time to get my mats… which doesn’t happen very often since I added a dk to my active roster of now 4 played chars.

@Randul– Believe me, I understand how KM and ToT work…never said I was a good writer though. What I mean by ToT not proccing, was that my OH wasn’t critting nearly what it should’ve been.
But, if you wanna get technical, 3/3 ToT isn’t 100% guaranteed…there is still a 1% miss chance.
Sorry if my phrasing was “suspect,” but, in T10, gemmed for str, single target frost just didn’t compare to unholy.

I’m not so sure about that. Wowhead is showing it as a 99-100% chance, but they are doing that with a lot of things. I think their code is messed up. The Armory talent calculator shows it as a 100% chance.
I’d be interested to know what spec/rotation/glyphs etc you were using.
