Crank up the way back machine!
Today, boys and girls, we’re going back in time to May 12th, 2009.
For those of you that don’t have a way back machine, I’ll provide a handy link here: https://clearcasting.wordpress.com/2009/05/12/i-want-to-put-it-on-my-body-wont-you-help-me-please/
Wow.
That was nearly 3 years ago, where does the time go?
Anyway, the gist of the post is that I had created a T-shirt design and I was looking for ideas on how to get it made with a minimum of fuss and cost.
And then, like many projects, it got neatly shoved under a rug.
Neat trick that, seeing as how I have hard wood floors, only recently acquiring a rug under which this could have been shoved.
Well, last year I found Redbubble, a site that offers some funny shirts, stickers, iPod cases, etc. and made a few purchases.
They sent me a coupon the other day and I logged on to see what new offerings they had.
While perusing the available designs, I started wondering where they got their art. A couple clicks later and I discovered that it’s user submitted.
As in, I, as a user, can submit my own design and buy my shirt, while making it available for other people without all the hassle of getting money in advance to create an order.
Wowsers!
So I started rummaging about to find my design.
And, sadly, realized it was in the folder that went *poof* the last time my computer was worked on.
I tried grabbing the posted piece from the linked post above, but it was fuzzy and just not at all good.
/sigh
I set about to recreate the artwork and had to recollect all the source work.
Not too long later, I had a new finished product.
You may notice I went with a slightly different version of the Horde insignia, just to mix it up a bit.
So if you’re interested in joining me with putting this filly on your flesh, just trot over to http://www.redbubble.com/people/suprbrat/works/8394925-my-little-horde-pwny and check it out.
I personally recommend that the design be placed on a black or gray shirt, but the choice is yours. T-shirts, V-necks, women’s shirts, long sleeve, hoodies, and children’s sizes available.
Also, I did pull some source for the Alliance design and should have that up this weekend.
