Today is lacking content.

Honestly, I spent most of the weekend with my family and didn’t log in to WoW hardly at all.

Sunday evening I did log on to my priest for some healtastic fun.

Healed VoA 25, top two bosses.

My gloves dropped and went to the priest that did worse than I did. /sad panda

I’m ready 2 play

Yes, this is a bit of a cop-out post.

But I told you this would happen while I’m working on this project at work!

Actually got a 25-man raid off the group last night with all guildmembers.

Took out 25-man ToCr with only 3 wipes – 2 on beasts and 1 on Anub.

No hunter with Tranq shot (Pie, Spliff, we missed you!) and a couple people were just slow on the MOVE part on Icehowl.

Raids and Shit

Because someone was looking for it…

and found me.

Back in the office today so here’s a quick progress report:

25-man Raids:

ICC was attempted a week or so back, but is too much of a gear check with us not having enough power from the top end to muscle through it.

Trash was cleared and Marrowgar attempted.

We will return.

Not the Raid Post You Were Looking For

I know, I know, I said I would talk about raiding today like I covered heroics.

But two things happened.

First, I’ve written probably 5 drafts of that post. I have a LOT to say but I think the way I need to say it needs to be organized better. What with my recent promotion, how I feel about raiding not only affects me, but it now affects a whole truckload of people. I want to make sure I get it out on “paper” how it really is for me. You might have to wait a couple days while I work on that.

Second, my guild kicks ass.

The Edge of Fail

I stand on the rim.

Teetering.

An unanticipated breeze could send me over the edge.

Or at least that’s how most of last night felt.

We raid Wednesdays and Thursdays.

According to the calendar, anyway.

Something came up for our MT and two of our core healers on Wednesday. And some DPS was missing.

No problem, we’ll just scrape up some guild mates and do VoA and Ony as neither of those raids are really “progression” anymore.

Heroic at last

So fucking close… and I have no idea where the last 7 on Kalimdor are. I’m hoping that somewhere in Eastern Kingdoms I’ll get sent to the other continent to finish up a quest chain or 5.

My goal was to get both of these done before the end of the month. I was thinking for a while it wasn’t going to happen, but it just might. Just shy of 9 quests a day will get it done.

I was in Arathi last night working on the Myzreal quest chain and had to spend some time in a cave killing kobolds for some shards. Of course, with the shitty drop rate there aren’t enough kobolds to provide for a single person doing the quest. Add in the level 40 human paladin on the same quest and there really aren’t enough to go around.

I was in a good mood so I refrained from 1-shotting the pally. I did, however, make liberal use of snowballs and baby spice every time I came across her in the cave.

Now I’ve got to wonder, what was the player’s reaction? I made no threatening moves towards them, but had them targeted whenever they were in range and kept pelting them with harmless things.

In a haze

First I had a happy post all written up and ready to go.

Then I had an angry post ready to spew venom across the screen.

Now…

I don’t know what I have.

I have an offer that is tempting.

There are a lot of possibilities in what is being very creatively waved about under my nose.

But it will undoubtedly burn bridges.

I have a lot of thinking to do.

BUSY

So much to do all at once!

If you’ve been hiding under a rock, you might have missed the start of Hallow’s End.

Thankfully I got my Hallowed title last year so the only thing I have left to do on my main this year is finish collecting all 20 masks. I’m down to 6. (Has anyone seen the goblin or worgen masks? I haven’t.)

Oh, and of course I need to go kill the Headless Horseman a bunch.

He’s been re-tuned to 80 and so have his drops, but the drops seemed more impressive last year. Maybe because I wasn’t raiding yet so my gear sucked.

This year I’m just after his mount, like everyone else.

And who can pass up the easy XP for leveling toons for completing the fire quest each day?

I think I’m putting out fires on 8 characters each day.

In the groove

I think we’re starting to get our progression group coming along rather nicely.

Last night we took down ToCr 10 with only one wipe. I’m not even entirely certain what happened, I think the poison and fire people did not meet up like they were supposed to and we ended up with a tank rooted in place.

But other than that, we destroyed the place in under an hour including the wipe.

It is amazing how much faster shit goes down when people don’t afk and stay focused.

People got purplez, I had to shard a couple items.

Rolled over to Onyxia.

I am pleased to report that the hunter did not pursue his previous fascination with the whelp cave and was content to stand with the other casters to go pewpew.

However, 50 DKP minus for the holy pally in the whelp cave.

Log in last night…

The freaks come out at night

My first thought… I’m a sucker for flattery as much as the next mage (and I’m a Leo to boot) but that seems to be laying it on pretty thick. I bet he’s going to ask for a free portal to Dalaran or something. SM runs? 10 gold? Where do these people come from?

A quick shift -click and I see it’s a level 4 blood elf hunter out in the middle of nowhere.

Huh. Out of all the mages logged on, how/why did they latch on to me? And how did they know that Arcane is my damage of choice?

We’re making small talk…

Hmmmm….

And the gears start turning and the smoke starts fuming and someone in guild chat mentions that someone has been looking for me.
