More Unearthed

My post on Wednesday opened up with the last conversation I had with Gary.

As I was copying it out of my Google chat, I had the nagging feeling like something was missing. The chat was too short, there were snippets of the conversation that I remembered but didn’t see.

Was I making up memories of this last conversation? Maybe it was by text or phone… I went tearing through my texts and emails and phone records, looking for the elusive conversation.

I was starting to think that maybe I was so far gone in grief that my own brain was starting to betray me.

And then the missing lines suddenly turned up in my gchat records. I have no idea how or why they were hiding.

So What Have I Been Up To?

Work and school.

Seriously, work and school and life have just wrung me through the wringer.

But I have some free time coming up. The semester is about to end and they are reducing the amount of time off I can hoard at work so it looks like I’ve got some days off coming up.

This is the “Fix It” Expansion

OK, day 2 of BlizzCon 2013 is officially over.

And the video quality was even worse today somehow.

Even pulling up yesterday’s archived stuff was unwatchable.

I suffered through the panel that dealt with itemization and got some good stuff out of that. And coupled with yesterday’s announcements about improvements to the inventory system, I have dubbed this the “Fix It” expansion. Screw the space goats.

Normally, I’m anxiously awaiting an expansion while at the same time feverishly trying to somehow prepare for it. This time, I just want the damn thing NOW because it addresses so many quality of life issues. Continue reading →

Holy Shit, I Remembered My Password

That’s right, folks, I’m back.

I just don’t know for how long.

For at least as long as it takes me to procrastinate doing both my homework and my novel for NaNoWriMo.

So it looks like the last thing I wrote was a book review for Rage of the Old Gods back in July.

Fuck me sideways that was a long time ago. But I did warn you that I was going to be going MIA… Besides, that gave you plenty of time to go buy and read Tyler’s book.

Status Update

Not dead.

But maybe soon if life keeps up being life and asplodey and such.

Work got really ugly. Basically the deadline in front of me got pushed back by a month and a half but my deadline didn’t move.  My portion was originally 2 months. Hi, how’s 2 weeks sound?

But the deadline is today and at the time of this writing (in the past, blow your mind) it looks good. They found more work yesterday, but since it wasn’t part of the original requirement, I’ve told them where in the pile they can shove it. Continue reading →
