Banner – Jhaelen

Holy shit, 4 posts in as many days!

The last one up from the WoW cast is Jhaelen.

Jhaelen’s script has some similarities to Arioch’s. As my scribe, he probably spends more time with pen in hand than any other character I have. From his long hours of producing copious stacks of glyphs for sale, Jhaelen has developed very even and rigid handwriting. Continue reading

Banner – Kaayn

It’s a good thing I kept all these files or I would never have been able to update the banners.

Kaayn is Selwyn’s twin, though he has no memory of this – only limited flashbacks of confusing images and memory fragments. His writing probably was very similar to Selwyn’s prior to his rebirth (redeath?) as a death knight but suffers from lack of use and faltering confidence. The pen may be mightier than the sword for some, but Kaayn doesn’t feel that he has anything to say worth writing down.

Banner – Cruorem

First up is Cruorem!

Sorry to disappoint if you were hoping for a new Arioch banner. The font I picked for Arioch and the Clearcasting banner will remain the same, it’s Arioch’s casual handwriting, after all. That font captures his bold personality and flair for embellishment.

After spending a day poring over a couple thousand fonts until I thought my eyes would bleed, I have selected new fonts to represent each of my WoW characters represented in the banner rotation as well as a font for kitty Arioch. Continue reading

Logic!

My work computer is having issues so I’m falling behind.

School starts next week. One instructor has opened the class early. (Online classes are awesome.)

The house isn’t as clean as I would like it.

I have 2 dozen or more unfinished craft projects laying about.

Not to mention two novels in various states of editing. (Or being written, the second one has some skipped chapters and a missing ending.)

There’s the question of some 100 titles sitting in my Steam account.

And WoW and FFXIV.

And the entire Wheel of Time series sitting on my kitchen table.

In the middle of all the stuff from the master bedroom that’s being remodeled.

So what do I want to do? Continue reading

Not the Post You Were Expecting

When we last spoke, I left you with the cliffhanger ending of *gasp* considering running LFRs in an attempt to build my ilevel to a respectable level to be prepared for a *gasp* possible return to raiding on a casual basis.

Join us this week for the continuing adventures as the road takes us places we never dreamed of!

DUNH DUHN DUUUUHHHNNNNN!

Did our wayward hero return to LFR in the pursuit of better gear?

Did he return to the hallowed halls of the guild and revel in their camaraderie?

So What Have I Been Up To?

The short answer?

Work and school.

The long answer?

Woooooooooooork and schoooooooooooooool.

And now that I’m done being a smartass…

Seriously, work and school and life have just wrung me through the wringer.

But I have some free time coming up. The semester is about to end and they are reducing the amount of time off I can hoard at work so it looks like I’ve got some days off coming up.

What do I do now?

I’m lost in WoW. Like, really, really, lost. Continue reading

This is the “Fix It” Expansion

OK, day 2 of BlizzCon 2013 is officially over.

And the video quality was even worse today somehow.

Even pulling up yesterday’s archived stuff was unwatchable.

I suffered through the panel that dealt with itemization and got some good stuff out of that. And coupled with yesterday’s announcements about improvements to the inventory system, I have dubbed this the “Fix It” expansion. Screw the space goats.

Normally, I’m anxiously awaiting an expansion while at the same time feverishly trying to somehow prepare for it. This time, I just want the damn thing NOW because it addresses so many quality of life issues. Continue reading

Holy Shit, I Remembered My Password

That’s right, folks, I’m back.

I just don’t know for how long.

For at least as long as it takes me to procrastinate doing both my homework and my novel for NaNoWriMo.

So it looks like the last thing I wrote was a book review for Rage of the Old Gods back in July.

Fuck me sideways that was a long time ago. But I did warn you that I was going to be going MIA… Besides, that gave you plenty of time to go buy and read Tyler’s book.

You did go buy and read Tyler’s book, right?

OK, so what brings me back today, on a weekend of all things?

BLIZZCON! Continue reading
